Entry Requirements
1. Nationality
· Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens.
· For applicants who originally held Chinese nationality and later acquired foreign nationality, CPU adheres to the provisions outlined in Announcement No. 12 (2020) issued by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.
2. Age Qualifications
· Applicants must be 18–25 years old and have graduated from high school (or equivalent).
· Applicants under 18 years of age as of September 1 of the enrollment year must submit an original notarized guardianship certificate issued by a notary public office in Nanjing. The guardian must be a permanent resident of Nanjing.
· Applicants must possess good moral character, sound physical and mental health, and agree to abide by Chinese laws, regulations, and CPU’s rules and regulations.
3. Minimum Chinese language requirement: HSK4 and above (for Chinese-taught programs).

*4. Completed Foreigner Physical Examination Form
"Foreigner Physical Examination Form", which must be filled out in English and examined strictly according to the items listed in the form. Physical examination results after November 1, 2024, will be considered valid.
*5. Bank deposit certificate or income proof of the financial guarantor.
*6. Resume detailing learning and work experience since high school.
*7. Scanned copy of the first page of the passport (valid ordinary passport with an expiration date after March 1)
For applicants who were originally Chinese citizens but later acquired foreign nationality, or applicants holding foreign passports but with one or both parents as Chinese citizens, they also need to provide proof of the applicant's naturalization time, proof of renunciation of Chinese nationality, or foreign birth certificate, as well as scanned copies of visa records for entering and exiting China in the past four years.

Such as SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB etc.
Academic transcript in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.*10. Scan of original high school diploma or original notarized diploma.
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
Scan of pre-graduation certificate is required if the applicants have not gained certificate. Please resubmit the original highest diploma or original notarized diploma before registration.*11. CSCA Test Transcript(s)

-The test covers Chinese (Humanities and STEM Chinese), Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Mathematics is required for all programs, while other subjects depend on the university’s specific requirements.
